What we do
Six ways we cook for you
Private Chef
A chef in your kitchen for the evening. Menu planned around the occasion, cooked in front of you or quietly out of the way — your call.
Catering
Food for a room full of people, without the folding tables and chafing dishes look. Drop-off or fully staffed.
Buffet
Built for mountain houses and big groups. Everything set out, everything hot, everyone helps themselves.
Food Truck
Our kitchen comes to you. Parties, company events, and anywhere a room full of people beats a room full of plates.
Meal Prep
A week of real food in your fridge, cooked fresh and portioned. Standing weekly slots available on the Front Range.
Events
Weddings, milestones, anniversaries, celebrations of life. The occasions where the food gets remembered.
How it works
Tell us the date
The date, roughly how many people, and what the occasion is. Two sentences is plenty.
We send a menu and a price
Written for your event, not pulled off a list. We’ll be straight with you about what works for your headcount and your budget.
We cook
We shop, we arrive, we cook in your kitchen, and we leave it cleaner than we found it.

Where we cook
From Denver to the mountains
We’re based in Denver and cook across the Front Range most nights of the week — Boulder, Fort Collins, Colorado Springs, Castle Rock and everywhere between.
We also drive. Vail, Aspen, Breckenridge, Steamboat, Telluride — mountain bookings are usually a family that’s rented a house for the week and would rather not spend it in a grocery store. Those are some of our favourite jobs.
Anywhere within about two hours of Denver is routine. Further than that we still say yes, we’re just honest about the travel.
Who cooks
Meet the chefs
Mile High Private Chefs is two working chefs, not an agency. You talk to the person who cooks your food. Between us that’s 50 years across fine dining rooms, food trucks and private kitchens.
Joe Pavlushik

Also twenty-five years in, from cooking for his own family as a kid to restaurant kitchens, then a bachelor’s degree in Culinary Management from The Culinary Institute of America. Denver rooms including Jax Fish House and Acorn.
Simple, fresh, a modern take on comfort food. Same care for a dinner for two as for a hundred-person wedding. ServSafe certified and insured.
Preston Yoke
Twenty-five years in, starting as an apprentice at the Broadmoor Hotel and cooking fine dining in Denver for over a decade — Cholon, Fruition, Old Major — before running the Mile High Cajun food truck for ten years.
Seasonal and local with a southwest and southern accent. Loves wild game — elk, buffalo, lamb, wagyu. Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation, ServSafe certified and fully insured.

Common questions
How far ahead should I book?
About a week is typical. Weekends, holidays and larger events fill sooner, and we can sometimes do a mid-week dinner on shorter notice — it’s always worth asking.
How many people do you cook for?
Six is our usual minimum and a hundred is comfortably within reach. Smaller or larger than that, ask — we’ve done both.
Do you shop for the food?
Yes. Shopping, prep, cooking and cleanup are all included. We bring some equipment and otherwise work with the kitchen you’ve got — the exception being drop-off catering, which arrives ready to go.
Can you handle allergies and dietary restrictions?
Yes. Tell us at booking, not on the night. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, vegan, nut allergies and kids’ plates are all routine.
Are you insured and certified?
Yes to both. The business is fully insured, both chefs are ServSafe certified, and Preston is a Certified Executive Chef with the American Culinary Federation.
Do you travel to the mountains?
Yes — that’s a large part of what we do. Rented houses, ski weeks and family gatherings. Travel is factored into the quote up front, never added later.
What does it cost?
Bookings start at $500 plus groceries. Past that, every event is priced individually — headcount, menu and travel all move the number. Send us your date and we’ll come back with a real figure rather than a range.
Tell us about your date
Send the date, the headcount and the occasion. We’ll come back with a menu and a real number — no obligation, and no sales call.
